Fourth Email Home on July 18, 2011
You guys are so weird [stalking me on my way back from the Temple on Sunday and taking secret pictures of me]. so i wrote you a really long email. and i lost it to im going to have to write it to you guys in a letter. later today i only have 5 minutes left to write! But yeah i will have pictures to send tomorrow as well! I really need those things i asked for in my letter as soon as possible im running low on gel and deoderant! I also was wondering if you could pick me up a notebook. elder hurst has it and i really like to write my letter with the kind of paper that in it. Its a 5 Star Binder and the paper is the same size as the paper i wrote my letter to you last week is on. But i want the kind WITHOUT the three whole punch on it! Thanks so much be expecting a letter soon. oh yeah grandmas letters are super hard to read haha. Love josh!

Elder Smith, Garrett, Mitchelle, and Metcalf left this moring at three. We had a big party for them last night and sang Till we meet again for them. It was pretty cool i got a video of it. but im sad they are gone they were some of my best friends here and our room and floor feels empty without them. and now my other friend in our group elder quinn leaves this wednesday for peru so alot of my friend are gone. hopefully we get some cool new elders in this week... but i still have a few friends left here, like elder hurst and cottrell we get along great! You were right mom reading the book of mormon all at once is way better! And i really do enjoy righting in my journal it helps me remember my days alot better! I even started a scripture journal it really helps me get into the scriptures more. I write down any thought or question i have about a certain verse or just write down good scriptures i like and can use on my mission.
...spanish keeps getting harder and harder each day. I get confused with all the congegations and stuff and im getting frustrated because i cant roll my r's and it bugs me really bad. Im going to try and see the mtc spanish tutor this week to see if that helps. hope it does.
...Well i have to go do laundry bye!! Love Josh

{Mom) This week has been really hard. Just getting use to everything has been a challange. I have had a sever sore throat the past three days here. I could barely eat anything at all for two days! I was so hungry but it hurt to bad to swallow. I went to the clinic so they could check it out and they said it was just a virus and I had to wait for it to pass. Don't worry its gone now.. but the last few days and nights have been hard. I am sleeping on the top bunk I feel like I am going to fall off everynight since the bed is so skinny and I wake up every hour, so I am always tired during the days. But things will get better i just have to get use to it. David A Bednar spoke to us the other day it was a really good talk. I also got to go to the temple this morning which was a nice change. And class time with Brother Flynn and West is easily my favorite part of the day. My spanish is coming along pretty well.
...yes i write in my journal everyday i actually like to write in it. We spend 6 hours a day in class and i have two teachers the whole time im here. They are brother flynn and west and they are awesome. they both teach spanish and gospil, but flynn is a really strong gospel teacher and i like learning spanish form west a little better. But they are both really good teachers i am lucky to have them. and then we pretty much just study the rest of the day when we are not in class or eating. The language is getting a little harder we have just began to congagate in the past tense and that is really difficult but its coming a little easier for me since i took two years of spanish in high shcool that really helped.
...i like our roomates brother smith and garrett they have been in here for 7 weeks and have been like older brothers to me and hurst they show us all the secrets and give us advice. They are super funny too! Its like a party in our room at night. but they are leaving next monday so i am sad.
